DESCRIPTION:
American Clock Co., 3 Cortlandt St., New York, NY, Painted Iron Front shelf clock with a spring driven, 30 hours time and strike movement, c1855.
CONDITION:
The iron front has hand painted decoration and scene which has darkened, but still quite nice. Unlike most, this has very little mother-of-pearl. The original painted dial has been covered with a newer paper dial. Hand are original. The movement is unsigned. Ht 16".
